ALTERNATIVE CLEANING METHODS
METHOD: Wet Cleaning / Extraction - hot or cold water; truck mounted or portable; flood 10 gals of soap and water and retrieve 8 gals; blow; suck, and rake.
ADVANTAGES: Superior on industrial and glue-down carpet for flooding, smoke, and heavily soiled carpets; equipment can be rented by nonprofessionals.
DISADVANTAGES: Carpet with pad frequently results in "bleed back"of spots and mold and mildew with a musty smell; excessive drying time and damage to carpet backing.
METHOD: Host Method - vacuum; sprinkle on powered/oily substance; vacuum up powder.
